2011 - Chris & Charlie's Wedding, Bush Hall, London W12
Charlie White (nee Gamble) is Restoration Cake -
http://www.restorationcake.co.uk/
(check it out, its incredible! )  Anyway she got married to Chris White, gicut58 was asked to play some tunes on bass with her Dad, and to arrange and play some guitar with the bride -
she totally surprised the groom when she jumped up on stage, picked up her bass, and launched into 'I'll Stand By You', followed by 'Bad Romance'.......

gicut58 was only a tiny part of it all but the whole event was fantastic,
and the video of the highlights can be seen here:

2010 – Skin Machine
, w
ith David Priest:

DP:   “In October 2010 I organised a tribute gig to raise money for The Sid Worth Memorial Tribute Fund based in Bedford.  I was living in Oklahoma, USA at the time, but via telephone and email I managed to not only secure a Saturday evening booking in Bedford, England, but more remarkable was the fact that I managed to put together a six piece band, one of whom was living in Berlin, Germany, and put together the set-list for the evening.
Skin Machine was the name I gave the band for this project and without any full band rehearsal we filled The Ent Shed, Bedford on 29th October 2010.
David Priest (Vocals), gicut58 (Guitar), Dave King (Guitar), Jez Green (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), John Morey (Bass), and Tony Morton (Drums).

NB. Bless you David, passed away 2013

2008-2011 - The Mistreated  - Classic Rock.
gicut58 auditioned for this band and got in. Mistreated Mk2, (Bern Reeve, Martin Pointon, Gwenda Dale and gicut58) lasted about a year at which point the inimitable and lovely Gwenda disappeared off to the wilds of sunny Yorkshire to look after dogs and horses, and the magnificent Doc slipped into the pair of vacated high heels.....
Video links for a couple of tunes with each vocalist. Bloody good band this.
Apparently, after 2 and a half years working with these guys, gicut58 is branded a shit bass player and get booted out. Funnily enough, the drummer leaves at the same time. Draw your own conclusions. Hey ho, such is life, bin the comments and move on....

 2009 - Penny Lane

One off rehearsal with Penny Lane, trying to organise a project that never materialised – both too busy!
Penny taped the rehearsal and put the tracks up on Youtube:
Forever Young:    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37AiosfBGU0

Will You Call:        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5TcO8FF-Lc
ahee nanoo:        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ9Qy3nqVYs

We've subsequently lost touch over the years and they're now gone (2019) so I think she's taken them down.
Penny, if you're out there, please get in touch and put them back - they're good! Gx

2004-2008 - The Mark Gamble Band - Blues & Rock covers

The inimitable Mark Gamble, gicut58, Clem (mk1) Bob(mk2) and as you see here, Rockit (mk3). This was blues-based covers with some Classic Rock thrown in, the band being organised and run by MG. gicut58 tried to get him to have a go at something original and he eventually came up with a riff that I turned into 'Roadmender' which we recorded, and after what seemed like putting a jigsaw puzzle together came up with the final track, on youtube here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qwS6ogdndA
We played it live a few times and it even got to be the Lemonrock 'Track of the Week'.
All MGB members are still weekend warriors with the exception of the inimitable Bob Jones, God bless him, passed away 2011.

2002 - 2005  -  Lookin' Out

This is the album wot gicut58 done, took about three years to get all the tracks recorded, mixed produced, and it wasn't that long for an album! He'd done a song writing and music production course at Riverrun Studios, Cambs, ostensibly run by guitarist and lutenist
Maurice Cope (http://wichitaguitar.com/wordpress/maurice-cope/ ), a true gentleman and nice all round bloke. This taught him shedloads, so he spent a couple of years brushing up on bass and guitar skills, filling in technical gaps and other stuff, and then finished the album just after taking up and playing live with Mr Gamble, above.
He did everything here - guitars, keys, drum programming, vocals, the lot, except  for the vocals on one track, 'At The End of the Day',
sung by the wonderful Helen Croudace - https://soundcloud.com/gicut58/at-the-end-of-the-day

The track 'Coping' was subsequently dedicated to Maurice -  https://soundcloud.com/gicut58/coping

This and all the other tracks on the album can be found here:
